2021 GC FFA District 12 January Career Development Events Results

On January 13 the Garden County FFA Chapter competed in Agriculture Sales, Floriculture, Livestock Management, and Welding Events virtually.  

Floriculture Team: 
Kaylee Leach, Emily Levick, Taylor Fornander, Maddie Lake, and Tarah Ross
Tarah Ross received a white ribbon in Floriculture.



Livestock Management Team:
Kyle Rote, Wyland Lobner, Kamry Kramer, Madie Rauch, Joselin Marquez
Placed eight as a team and received a white ribbon in Poultry Management


Ag Sales Team:
Oakley Larsen, Jenason Spady, Zeke Christiansen, and Jordon Underwood
The team placed fifth with Zeke receiving a red ribbon and Jenason receiving a white ribbon.



The Welding Team:
Carter Dormann (MIG), Kenzee Moffat (ARC), Wade Dodge (TIG), and Gunner Roberson (OFW)
Overall the team received a red ribbon, Carter a red ribbon in MIG, Kenzee a with ribbon in ARC, Wade a red ribbon in TIG, a Gunner a white ribbon in OFW

 Today, twenty-two Garden County FFA members competed in the Nebraska FFA District 12 Leadership Development Events held at Chadron State College. The Conduct of Chapter Meeting Team consisting of Oliver Davis, Chanley Loomis, Victor Rueda, Kenley Dehning, Gradie Loyd, Jadynn Dawkins, and Rainee Olson received a blue ribbon. Jase Roberson competed in Natural Resource Speaking and received a blue ribbon.   Eli Smith and Javis Underwood both competed in Junior Public Speaking and both earned blue ribbons. Carolina Schwab competed in Employment Skills at received a red ribbon. The Animal Science Agriculture Demonstration Team, consisting of Caver Corfield. Kelbi Cooper, Kirstyn Beberniss, Bre Yates, and Cable Larsen received a white ribbon. Korryn Beberniss earned a white ribbon in Senior Public Speaking. GC FFA Results from the 96th Nebraska FFA Convention

Our agriscience fair kids did great!! Carver Corfield received a silver medal in Division 3 of Social Systems, and Jase Roberson and Cable Larsen in Division 4 of Social Science earned the first gold medal. The Farm & Agribusiness Management team, Kyle Rote, Morgan Ross, Kyan Kramer, and Branson Anderson, took a knowledge test and completed a simulation practicum.  Congratulations to Kyle for earning a white ribbon, the team placed 67 out of 96. The Agriscience team, Chris Clark, Cable Larsen, Carolina Schwab, and Jana Spencer, wrote career reports, took an agriscience knowledge test, and completed a flower dissection practicum.  Congratulations to Carolina for earning a white ribbon, the team placed 124 out of 141. Oakley Larsen, Gavin Hunt, Wyland Lobner, and Carter Dormann earned their Nebraska FFA State Degree. Garden County FFA Competes at District 12 FFA Career Development Events at Gordon

 GC FFA Results from District 12 Career Development Events Gordon Our Nebraska FFA District, Number 12, is very competitive with all 21 teams in the panhandle competing for spots at the Nebraska State FFA convention.  The district is allowed to send the top three scoring teams in food science teams, in agriculture mechanics the highest scoring 25% of teams, and the top three scoring teams in veterinarian science.  Our members studied and competed well but did not get a team qualified for the state contest. Agriculture Mechanics Each of the members takes a general agriculture mechanics test over the annual theme.  This year's theme was plant production systems. Then each member of the team completes a practicum in an individual area. Cable Larsen competed in hydraulics, Zeke Christiansen competed in electricity, Gunner Roberson received a white ribbon in small engines, and Carter Dorman competed in machinery and equipment.
