GC FFA Competes at the Nebraska State FFA Convention

The Garden County FFA Chapter recently competed at the state level.  Due to COVID-19, the State FFA Convention was held as a virtual competition.  Students competed at the state level in Conduct of Chapter Meeting, Environmental and Natural Resource, and Meat Evaluation. 

Chris Loyd, Carter Dormann, Wyand Lobner, Gunner Roberson, Kyle Rote, Zeke Christiansen, Gavin Hunt, and in the back Sarah Paisley

The CCM team, coached by Sarah Paisley and consisting of Zeke Christiansen, Gunner Roberson, Kyle Rote, Chris Loyd, Gavin Hunt, and Carter Dormann, gave a demonstration to judges virtual and completed a test about Robert's Rules of order. The team received a Bronze Medal. 

Oakley Larsen, Madie Rauch, Tarah Ross, and Morgan Ross
The Environmental and Natural Resource team consisted of Morgan Ross, Oakley Larsen, Madie Rauch, and Tarah Ross. Madie received a blue ribbon and Tarah received a white ribbon.

Emily Levick, Kaylee Leach, Taylor Fornander, and Jenason Spady
The meat evaluation team is made up of Jenason Spady, Emily Levick, Kaylee Leach, and Taylor Fornander.  Kaylee and Jena both received white ribbons.

Garden County FFA has also been busy with other activities besides competitions.  Recently, the chapter held a meeting and discussed the 2021 awards banquet as well as chapter business.  The officer team is currently working on the plan for the annual FFA awards banquet.
